![]() ![]() As a fan, he was once an avid mailer to Sonic Grams and later obtained the writing position on the Sonic the Hedgehog (Archie comic series) by sending in unsolicited proposals. Not only has he been shown to be active with the fan community since his hiring at Archie Comics, but even prior to that with the now defunct site, The Sonic Info Center (TSIC). He had experience participating in unofficial creations of comics about Sonic the Hedgehog prior and gained initial recognition for a fan comic known as Other M. He grew up engaging with Franchise's early media, such as reading the Archie Comics' Sonic the Hedgehog series, and watching the television series Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog and Sonic the Hedgehog, known as SatAM by fans. The Sega Genesis was his first family console, which he received alongside Sonic the Hedgehog 2. Ian Flynn, in his words, "grew up on Sonic". ![]()
